We will be hosting a Home Run Derby at the 6th Annual Halloween Clash on Friday, October 23rd at Pawlowski Fields in Brighton, CO. Check in will start at 6pm at the Home Derby will start at 7pm.

Every team playing in the 6th Annual BYBSA Halloween Clash will receive a (2) FREE player entries into the Home Run Derby and any additional players on their team can play $25 to participate. We will send (2) coupon codes to each team that can be used to register (2) players from their team at the following link on the BYBSA website. Additional players will need to register and pay at this following link on the BYBSA website

There will be a separate Home Run Derby for 10U, 12U, 14U and HS players. You can only participate in the Home Rub Derby for the age that your team is playing.

10U will bat from 2nd base off of a tee, 12U will bat from the 43ft pitch circle, 14U and HS will bat from Home Plate.

10U must provide a coach or parent to load balls on tee and 12u, 14U and HS must provide their own pitcher.

Balls will be provided by the BYBSA

Players will have (1) minute to attempt to hit as many Home Runs as possible

The BYBSA Snack Shack will be open at the Home Run Derby with pulled pork sandwiches, nachos, pizza, hot dogs, snacks and drinks so you can plan on having dinner at the fields.

Merchandise for the BYBSA Halloween Clash will be available to purchase during the Home Run Derby.

• There will be a team costume contest for 10U, 12U, 14U and HS teams
• Here is how to enter
  • Have players and coaches wear costumes to games on Saturday, October 24th. It is not required to wear the costumes while they play but highly recommended
  • There will be a large BYBSA Halloween Clash banner near the entrance of every complex that we will be playing at. Please have your team take a picture of everyone in their costumes in front of this banner.
  • Email the following information to [email protected] by Monday, 10/26 at 12pm.

  • The team picture with the most likes by 5pm on Friday, 11/6 at each age group will be the winner

The winning team of each age group will get a FREE Registration for a team entry into 2027 BYBSA Spring Clash, 2027 BYBSA Tournament of Heroes or 2027 BYBSA Liberty Clash tournaments.

Tournament Rules

We will follow USSSA Fastpitch rules for all ages with a few exceptions. Here is the link to the USSSA Fastpitch rules and a list of additional rules.

1.) BYBSA will provide umpires with game balls but we need teams to retrieve foul balls and home run balls and return them to umpires.

2.) Game time will be 75 minutes. Once an inning has been started it must be finished

3.) All age divisions will use the 6 run per inning rule for Pool Play games. If a team scores 6 runs before there are three outs that half of the inning is over and teams need to switch sides.

4.) In Pool play all age divisions must bat their entire lineup.

5.) During Bracket Play only 10U Open, 10UC, 12UB and 12UC are required to bat their entire lineup. It is optional for all other divisions to bat their lineup in Pool Play.

6.) In Pool Play games can end in a tie.

7.) In Bracket Play all games must have a winner

8.) There will be a coin toss for all Pool Play games to decide home and away team. For Bracket Play games the higher seed will be the home team.

9.) No metal cleats allowed at Pawlowski Fields or Brighton Adult Sports Complex Fields.

10.) Runner may steel home at all ages for this tournament

11.) For Bracket Play games in 10U B, 10U-C, 12UB and 12-C divisions we will use the 6 run per inning rule. If a team scores 6 runs before there are three outs that half of the inning is over and teams need to switch sides.

12.) For Bracket Play games in 12U A, 14U Open, 14U C and HS Open divisions we will use the following mercy rule. 12 after 3, 10 after 4, 8 after 5.
